The Almaguin Spartans are happy to announce the re-signing of 2000 Forward Warren Huard. The 6’2, 200-pound Forward is product of the North Bay Trappers AAA program. Spartan’s fans will remember Huard, as he played 61 games for the Spartans as a 16- and 17-year-old in 2016/2017 and 2017/2018.
Spartans General Manager David Forde had this to say about the addition of Huard “We are very happy to have Warren back in our program. He returned to our club last fall, but unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, he was only able to train with us last fall. Warren took a couple seasons away from junior hockey but came back last year refocused and hungry to play. He has worked very hard over the past year and is in great shape right now. He has really dedicated himself to his off-ice training and is prepared to make his last season of juniors a great one.
Warren has a great mind for the game, plays physical, shots the puck well, is strong along the wall and in front of the net and is always willing to stick up for his teammates. His style of play is something we definitely need in our line-up. Warren has really matured since coming to us as a 16-year-old player and will big presence in our dressing room. I am really happy to see Warren back playing hockey and really look forward to seeing what he can do this season. “
Welcome Back Warren!!!
