The Almaguin Spartans are happy to announce the addition of veteran defensemen (2002) Ilya Bezrukov. The Russian blueliner has spent the last two seasons with Polyot Ryhinsk (NMHL).
Almaguin Spartans Head Coach Andrejs Savicevs had this to addition on the blue line “We are very happy to be adding Ilya to our club. He’s an experienced defensemen having played two years in the second highest junior league in Russia. He adds depth to our d core, which is starting to shape up really well. Ilya is a stay-at-home type defensemen, that competes hard in the defensive zone and will pair really nicely with a more offensive type defensemen like Artur Fokin. I think Ilya is going to fit in well to our program and I know he is very excited to be coming to play in Canada this season.”
